Join educator Lyle Border for the first part of our self-defence workshop series.

The first session on May 23 will focus on the mental preparedness lessons you can learn to help you avoid being attacked or how to react when being attacked. Lyle reassures you that your age, sex, race, or gender does not mean you are any less or more vulnerable to would-be attackers, but your mental state and lack of confidence can single you out.

With more than 50 years of Ta e-kwondo experience, Lyle Borden is a dedicated practitioner and instructor. Since settling in Ottawa 45 years ago, he has delivered self-defence workshops for our queer community, serving people of all ages.
