Brunch then Japanese Festival

In a change of pace, I’ve decided to combine Singles Brunch and Board Games with Salt Lake Nihon Matsuri (Japanese Festival). Let’s meet at Hall Pass at The Gateway, get something to eat, then take in the cultural displays at this Japanese cultural event!

TRAX is highly recommended as this is an event that will draw a crowd and takes place on a Saturday. Yes, there are vendors at Nihon Matsuri that sell food, but they get swamped early. Unless you enjoy long lines and long waits, let’s get something to eat before we attend. The Gateway is a short walk away from Nihon Matsuri, which will take place along Japantown Street adjacent to Delta Center.

There are plenty of things to be displayed and demonstrated at this festival. A main focus of mine will be the Utah Japanese interement camps, and the connections that can be made between the climate of persecution then and the climate of persecution that exists today.
