Announcement/Virtual Meetup

Announcement:

It’s come to my attention that there’s been some confusion to the changes made to the group. Specifically the Discord ( https://discord.gg/BFgQ9DCfqe) and Instagram (@outandproudaugusta). I’d like to take an opportunity to clear it up and also make myself available to answer any questions.

I created the Discord as a digital social space for queer folks who may prefer online interactions over in person. Or for people who just love Discord. Some folks can’t or don’t want to make it to in person meetings, but I still want them to have a safe space to be Out and Proud. You can expect virtual meetings, fun conversations, and hopefully a long running DnD game.

The Instagram page is for outreach/advertising. It’s a way to be known by queer businesses, and even Augusta Pride.

The WhatsApp chat will stay the same. No changes are needed for it.

Virtual Meeting:

Let’s meet on Discord for a virtual hang! We can use the O&P meeting room voice channel to have a video chat. You don’t have to be on camera if you don’t want to be. This is a space to make friends, talk about life, and make plans for things you’d like to do in the future.
