Inclusive Tech in Spain

Hey everyone!

We’ve been invited to join Diverse Leaders in Tech (DLiT) Madrid, and it’s a great opportunity to connect with leaders, founders, DEI professionals and ERG leads from across the tech ecosystem.

What is DLiT?
Diverse Leaders in Tech is a world-class network of like-minded peers on a mission to create a more diverse and inclusive tech ecosystem. In an industry that has historically excluded people who do not fit the norm, DLiT believes if your identity is the exception, and you lead in tech, you are pretty exceptional. We are a community of communities that surpasses gender, skin color, sexual orientation and more, to create a new norm that not only challenges, but can actually change the status quo.

DLiT was founded in the Netherlands and what they've build there is incredibly strong, thoughtful and impactful and due to it's success it's scaling to Spain, Portugal and the UK this year.

What to expect on the night?

• We'll kick off the night with the Founder story by Ingrid Tappin
• Followed by a panel with Eleanor Manley (AI Strategist, Technical Founder and Professor at IE Business School), Elisa Poirier Romeo (leader at Adyen), Elisa Caballero (leader at Cabify), Fran Gallego (DEI Leader, Responsible AI and our very own Out in Tech member). A mix of Technical Leaders, Founders and DEI Leaders who'll be sharing their experiences working in Tech in Spain, how that compares to other cities across the EU and globally. We'll get into the worries, the wins and what it's actually going to take to build a more diverse and inclusive Tech ecosystem here.
• Beyond the panel, the night includes open audience conversations, a Think Tank (bring your real DEI challenges, we'll be problem solving them together with the collective wisdom in the room) and plenty of time to connect with people you want to get to know better over drinks and bites.
