What we’re about

‘It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see’

Henry David Thoreau

Do you think you can’t meditate? Perhaps you’ve tried and realised you just can’t stop your thoughts?

Or you don’t understand what the fuss is all about, yet you are curious nonetheless?

Or maybe you want to find some space, a source of calm in your life, or even better, a sense of connection?

I think for me it was the latter that drew me in, and I came to meditation on a random afternoon — or at least that’s what I told myself. However, looking back, I can tell you that I really needed to find a way to ground myself. I needed the tools, the perspective, and the benefits that I found in mindfulness and Loving Kindness practices. And maybe you need them, too.

Whether you are just curious or want to get deeper into your practice, I’d love to support you on your journey to a more mindful and connected life.

So welcome to Out of the Clouds.

I am Anne V, a certified yoga teacher (250 RYT) and certified meditation and mindfulness teacher (MMTCP with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach).

I host beginner and intermediate classes and workshops online and in person to teach the curious among you who wish to develop a mindfulness meditation practice. Also, I offer monthly group coaching workshops directed at women who want to get better at talking about who they are and what they do.

My mission is to help people on their path to connection.

If you would like to find out more about me, please head over to my website, you can also meditate with me on Insight Timer and on my podcast Out of the Clouds Waking Heart. More on me here and below.

What my students say:

“I liked the way Anne drives the classes, it's clear, lots of reference, making everyone feel part of it and always in the softest and kindest way. She makes failing and trying all right, no pressure is put on us. Her class feels like a safe place to learn and experiment.”

“Anne's teachings are clear and easy to apply/follow. I feel it speaks as much to the beginners than to the most experienced meditators.”
