Bring your laptop or your quill and leaves. (Or paper and pen, however you get the words out.) Let’s meet up and grab a beverage at the Coffee Bar in the Durham Hotel for a 90-minute block of self-guided writing/working time from 7:15 PM - 8:45 PM.

This fine establishment offers coffee, alcohol, and some nice N/A beverages for purchase. We pilot ran it a few weeks ago and though there’s some occasional city noise and rowdy socialites, it’s all transient noise. Maybe it will flow with your work. Or maybe it will not. That said, if it’s something that you think could bother you, you may want to bring earplugs or listen to your own music in headphones.

Introductions and chat about what our goals are for the time at 7 PM and start the timed block of 90 minutes at 7:15 PM. Share a snippet of what you worked on if you’d like when the block closes at 8:45 PM. Coffee Bar closes at 9 PM, but lobby remains open if you’re inspired to stay late and keep working.
