The Inside Out Project is an ongoing global multimedia, participatory art (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Participatory_art) project started by the artist JR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JR_(artist)) in 2011. It emerged after JR was announced as the winner of the 2011 TED Prize (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_Prize) which awards US$100,000 to use towards “one wish to change the world.”

For the Inside Out Project, JR wanted to include the public in the artistic process and ”transform messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work.”

"I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we will turn the world, ... INSIDE OUT." JR, TED2011

To get more people involved in the project JR also set up four large photobooths ... that's where YOU come in. Participants can receive their posters as soon as the pictures are taken. Over 61,000 photos have been taken from these.

Come participate in a citywide art installation.
