About us
The Outback Hiking Club of Southern Utah (OHCOSU) is a fun group of hikers who love the outdoors and experience it together. The mission of our club is to promote hiking and an appreciation of nature. Hikers of all levels welcome. We were established in 1988, and have accumulated a wealth of information. Our experienced hike leaders voluntarily share their time and navigation abilities with our members.
We offer a variety of local day hikes, overnight trips, and backpack trips. OHCOSU has club meetings, speakers, and we sponsor several service projects.
Because we have liability insurance for our hikes, we ask that you please read the Member Guidelines and Bylaws documents, and complete the profile in full. An organizer reviews and approves your membership usually within a day or two.
