# HONORING OUR LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITIES: Caring for Ourselves, Each Other and Our Practice (hybrid)

This program will be hosted both in-person and online (hybrid).
In-person space is limited. Please register only if you can attend the full weekend program. Registration will close at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2026. One-day and walk-in registrations are not available. Vegetarian lunch will be provided on both days.

The Buddha taught the value of sangha (community) and spiritual friendships as support for the path of awakening. We all need like-hearted companions to develop in the spiritual life. This is especially true for LGBTQIA+ communities during these challenging times.
Historically, LGBTQIA+ people have often come together to care for ourselves and others and to build community. This two-day retreat is an opportunity to do just that. We will support our LGBTQIA+ sangha and practice, remember who we really are, and recollect our true inner goodness. We will explore ways of sustaining a kind heart and a clear, open mind. We will engage with the ancient teachings and practices offered by the Buddha that cultivate kindness, compassion, wisdom, and skillful actions.

To join each other in silence as a LGBTQIA+ community is rare and precious. Together in silence we can illuminate the heart and mind. There will be opportunities for healing and for laughter. The more we explore our inner landscape, the more we are able to engage with ourselves, others, and the world with skill and grace.

You will be invited to rejoice, rest, reconnect, remember, and restore resilience. This practice is about turning inward to care for yourself, each other, and all that truly matters in your life, for the highest good of all. Our time together will include guided meditation instructions, heart practices, dharma reflections, and group meetings.

The program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST each day. Online registrants will receive the link to join the program in their Order Confirmation email. This program will not be recorded.
