Hawksbill Mountain Hike - Town Tavern Morganton

This is one of my favorite hikes with awesome views of the Linville Gorge and Mountains, plus we should have some good fall color.
Forecast is mid 50s with a good bit of sunshine & light wind

We'll go down the old rough rocky dusty road with huge pot holes to Hawksbill, this is about a 3 mile hike and then add 2+ miles going up the gorge for 5 - 6 miles, a easy side of difficult hike, "there is some steep trail up to Hawksbill and worth every step"!

We need to meet at Mountain Crossing at 9:45 AM "Arrive Early" and only take 2 or 3 vehicles. Only SUVs or Trucks should drive to the trailhead. Park on the right side of their building as you're looking at it
