Doughton Park Brinegar Cabin to Bluff Ridge Primitive Trail

Staring at The Brinegar Cabin which is located at Milepost 238.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. It is part of Doughton Park (which is very close to Stone Mountain). We will hike from Brinegar Cabin about 6.9 miles to Bluff Ridge/Primitive Trail and maybe a little past that for some amazing views. This is an out and back moderate hike totaling about 13 miles.
Elevation gain may be around 500 ft each way 1000 total. That is a rough estimate it's mostly transversing along the ridge for a large portion of it.
Bring plenty of water and trail lunch it is currently listing a 0% chance of rain (this hike is great in the rain!!) Bring rain gear just in case, this will more than likely change.....
