10 Mile Mountain to Sea Trail Hike-Deep Gap, NC- Difficult

Enjoy this 10 mile- 2000 thousand foot elevation gain hike on the Mountain to Sea Trail along the crest of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Deep Gap, NC. This is a one way hike with a quick shuttle at the beginning of the hike. Great views, high elevations, water fall, pine forests, and farms along this hike. Small amount of road walking. We will stop for lunch- perhaps at the water fall.

We will meet along the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Mount Jefferson Overlook, near Milepost #267.

Bathrooms: None at the trailheads or meeting spot

Pack: Lots of layers, lunch, and water. Can be windy along the ridge of the mountains. Recommend hiking poles.
