Hawksbill Mountain Hike - Town Tavern Morganton

This is one of my favorite hikes with awesome views of the Linville Gorge and Mountains.
Forecast is high in the 70s with a good bit of sunshine & light wind
We'll go down the old rough rocky dusty road with huge pot holes to Hawksbill, this is about a 3 mile hike and then add 2+ miles going up the gorge for about 6 miles, a easy side of difficult hike, "There is some steep and rugged trail up to Hawksbill and worth every step"!
We need to meet at Mountain Crossing at 9:45 AM "Arrive Early" and only take 2 or 3 vehicles. Only SUVs or Trucks should drive to the trailhead. Park on the right side of their building as you're looking at it
