Rock Castle Gorge VA STRENUOUS 11 Mile Hike

11 miles 2513 feet elevation gain average estimated time is six hours very strenuous loop

There will be demanding climbs, bouldering, beautiful meadows
You’ll see waterfalls follow along the rock castle gorge river, beautiful homesteads and EPIC Views!

Rocky knob campground, which is at the trailhead for this hike, is closed for winter

Please bring plenty of water a trail lunch and a hiking pole will help you tremendously. The descent down is very steep

We will meet you at the Saddle Overlook parking lot, which is about a mile past the Rocky knob visitor center, 10am

• There’s a fire ban right now so camping is on hold. Looking for camp sites for Friday night. The night before if you’re interested message me we know of a pretty fabulous brewery for Friday night that won’t effect the Hiking too much Saturday😉
