Please be aware after the hurricane Lineville Gorge and Flats have sustained a lot of damage. To our knowledge the trails are open and passable.
Parking is limited, carpooling recommended.
5.6-mile out-and-back trail near Nebo, North Carolina. Generally considered a highly challenging route, it takes an average of 4 hrs to complete and should only be attempted by experienced adventurers. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are February through March. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
This route features challenging rocky terrain, with cliffs in close proximity and seasonal water crossings. It is recommended that only experienced hikers attempt this trail, as it is not beginner-friendly. There are no signs indicating the way.
