Huber Woods Park: rolling hills and flowering mountain laurel.

Details
Located in Middletown in Monmouth County, Huber Woods Park has nearly 400 acres of preserved land and 8 miles of trails. It is a very pretty park with gentle rollings hills and lots of varied vegetation, including mountain laurel and azalea. There is also an environmental center (with nice bathrooms!) and a reptile house that people can visit after the hike.
We will string together a perimeter route of about 4 miles and then add an additional mile or so on some of the inner trails. Brisk pace with some short breaks. Lunch afterwards -- there are some picnic tables near the environmental center.
Outdoor Club members only. Dues must be up-to-date. Be sure to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to sign in and hear the safety talk.
