Loyalsock Link Trail Loop Backpacking Trip

The Loyalsock Trail is a linear trail that begins near Williamsport, Pennsylvania and runs east ending in Loyalsock State Forest. It has been described as one of the finest backpacking trails in the Northeast.

This particular trip is 17 miles on a portion of the Loyalsock Trail and the connector loop trail in World's End State Park located in Forksville, PA.

Day 1 we will hike about 9 miles and camp alongside scenic Sones Pond. The next day we will hike 7 miles back to our vehicles. There will be some elevation gains throughout the trip with the rewards being some beautiful vistas. We will also see some waterfalls along the way.

We will be hiking at a moderate pace (~2 mph). This trip is intended for Intermediate Backpackers.
