If you are new to my hikes before you can register you have to message or email me. Priority on my hikes will be given to those that attend regularly or who cancel their reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time.
Clayton Park is located in Upper Freehold in Western Monmouth County. .There are almost 7 miles of forested trails surrounded by rolling farmland .We begin on the Bridges Trail and continue on two Unmarked Loops before going to to the Clayton Fields Trail Loop. On this trail we pass the Clayton Park Activity Center, the former main street of Imlaystown and its 18-19th century mill village and Imlaystown's Lake. We continue on the Doctor's Creek Trail to the Old Forge Trail back to Doctor's Creek Trail to the pond.
Next we take Bridges Trail and follow it in semicircle to Glen Trail. We finish on Glen Trail Loop back to parking lot. The distance will be 8 -9 miles. at 3---3.2 Pace. We will take several breaks on our route....There are porta-potties next to the parking lot. If you want to join me to eat lunch after the hike is over there are picnic tables.
