Batona Trail----Carranza To Lower Forge Campsites --- 11---12 Miles

If you are new to my hikes ,you have to message or email me before you can register. Priority on my hikes will be given to those who attend my hikes or who cancel their reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time.
This is one of my favorite sections on the Batona Trail. We begin at Carranza Memorial walk to Batona Trail and walk south connect to Wilderness Camps Connector Trail (light green) to Lower Forge Camp for our lunch break. After lunch we reverse directions back to the start. The hike is 11---12 miles at a 3 MPH. There is a porta-potty in the parking lot and another at Lower Forge Camp.
Bring water,snacks, lunch, something to sit on..We will take short breaks, for clothing adjustments,water breaks, separations etc, along the route.

Please make sure you check comments section before leaving house. If hike is cancelled it will be posted by 6AM on the day of event. Heavy snow or rain cancels the hike.
Arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in, use restrooms, adjust boots, safety talk, etc. I leave on time.
