Hiking 4 Loops at Jake's Branch---- 8---8.5 Miles.

This park is a hidden gem in the pine barrens of Ocean County.It is a 400 acre park and has 9+ miles of nature trails.It also contains a Nature Center with exhibits about the history,wildlife and ecology of the Pinelands.

We begin on the Bike/ Multi-Use ( yellow) trail ( 2.6) at the parking lot and travel in a loop back to parking lot. We continue on yellow connect to the Tindey ( blue) ( 3.8.) . We take the blue trail to the Swamp Spur (white) (.9) back to blue to the Interpretive ( green ) ( .7 miles) and finish back on blue trail to the yellow trail .The distance is around 8-8.5 miles at a 3 mph .There is a porta-potty at the parking lot. There are also restrooms at the Nature Center.

We will be meeting at the parking lot next to the Tennis Courts and Maintenance Center.As you enter the park look for the Maintenance Sign .2 miles ahead, make a right turn to the parking lot.Bring water, lunch and snacks.We will have lunch at the picnic table next to tennis court..Questions contact Al DiCianni asilviod888@yahoo.com 732 569-6858 (home).640 208-0349 ( cell day of hike only)

After lunch if you are interested in hiking a few extra miles, we begin on yellow trail to blue trail and a left turn on red trail. We make another right on blue and finish on yellow to parking lot..

Arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign up ,safety talk, restrooms ,adjust boots, etc. I leave on time
