Summer at Cattus Island

Historical Cattus Island provides a unique habitat of salt marshes & woodland. We will hike approximately 5-7 miles ( depending on weather & trail conditions) of easy trails enjoying the beginning of Spring in the salt marsh. Also there are several bail out points to make hike shorter if needed. Ideal beginners hike. We should be able observe some nesting osprey. Indoor facilities open in the environmental center after 10am. Porta Jon in parking lot. Located off Fischer Blvd in Toms River. We will meet in the parking lot closest to the environmental center.
