North Loop at Pennypack Park

This will be an appr. 8 mile loop, fairly flat (only about 500' elevation), at a moderate pace. We start at the Verree Rd. parking lot for Pennypack Park where there may be a porta-potty. We hike down to the Pennypack creek and then follow that on a loop at the northern end of the park. After 3 miles we will arrive at the Environmental Center where there are bathrooms. Another 1.5 miles southward along the creek and we'll reach our lunch spot. Then we continue southward and loop back to the parking lot. There are 2 crossings but both on bridges. It will mostly be on hiking trails that can be rocky and muddy (think Wissahickon) and a bit on paved paths. Bring water, food, poles if you want, and rain gear.
