LBI Causway Sunset Hike

A popular walk for the “locals” is over the causeway bridge to Long Beach Island and back. From the parking area to Ship Bottom Waterfront Park is just over 2 miles making the round-trip hike just over 4 miles. There are restrooms at the waterfront park. Our hike will be timed to hopefully catch a beautiful sunset on the return trip.

Parking spaces are located just before the Mallard Island Yacht Club on the right side. GPS address is 1376 County Rd 50, Stafford Township, NJ. Look for blue Subaru Crosstrek. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in, we leave on time.

The causeway bridge does have some elevation and is in the open sun. Bring sunscreen and water. Must be a registered member of OCSJ.
