Details
This is a moderately paced, 5 mile loop hike following sand trails and roads along reclaimed cranberry bogs and through pitch pine forest with glimpses of the Wading River headwaters. There will be breaks for clothing adjustments, photos etc. and a lunch/snack stop about three quarters of the way around. Bring water and snacks/lunch. Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, hear the safety talk and use the portable toilets. We'll leave promptly at 10:00. Meet at the Speedwell entrance of the Franklin Parker Preserve on Rte. 563, Chatsworth. We'll park along the dirt road on the east side of 563. Text any questions to me at 609.335.6907.
