You must be a member of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey to participate. Go to ocsj.org to join.

We will meet at the main entrance to the Black Run Preserve on Kettle Run Road, just south of the intersection with Braddock Mill Rd.; on the left side, if you going south on Kettle Run. Parking is limited, however, there is more parking on the other side of Kettle Run Road. If you park there, be careful crossing the road. The crossing is at a bend in the road. You and the cars may have limited visibility.

We will hike on various trails for somewhere around 4.5 to 5 miles at a moderate to slow pace.

We will start the hike at 10:00 sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to sign in and tie your shoes.

· Bring water.
· There is a port-a-pottie available at parking.
· Please use whatever tick and insect precautions that you deem wise.
· Please wear something that is blaze orange so you will not be mistaken for a deer.
· Ending time is approximate – hopefully an overestimate, but don’t rely on that. This is a relatively slow hike – a happy meander through the woods. Our pace varies between slow and moderate, depending on terrain and how we are feeling. We may stop occasionally to look out over a lake or an abandoned car. If you want us to slow down, do not hesitate to ask. We will be happy to oblige. Please do not ask us to speed up or try to rush ahead of the leader. If you want us to speed up, you are on the wrong hike.
· Although pets are allowed in the park, there are no pets allowed on this hike.
· Check comments on MeetUp for possible weather cancellation before you leave home.
