Atsion to Mullica River Campground and more
Details
Approximately 11 miles at a moderate to brisk pace. We'll start at Atsion and head south on the yellow trail for about 5.5 miles to the Mullica River campground. There we can sit ourselves on the numerous logs located around the campground, take a long break, admire the river, listen for the sirens, and enjoy lunch.
After lunch we will head north and take one of the connector trails a bit northeast toward the Batsto River and then back to Atsion.
Bring plenty to drink, lunch, snacks, insect repellent, and maybe even sunscreen.The trails are easy so hiking boots aren't necessary, low hikers or trail runners should be fine.
Meet at the Atsion office parking area by 9:45 to sign in and hear the safety talk. I would like to get us moving by 10:00.
