Wissahickon Birthday Hike

6 miles. Moderate pace. Come and celebrate the leader's birthday and the beginning of Spring with a hike through the Wonderful Wissahickon and a warm campfire afterward. We will be meeting at a new location, the Bluebell Parking area mentioned above. Once underway, we'll detour off the Orange Trail to a seldom-used ridge line trail which will drop us in at Tenbox, then venture on to the Hermits Cave and Lovers Leap. We'll stop for a lunch break along the creek. Be prepared to sit on the ground. Once back at the cars, we'll have some snacks, get a nice fire going, and chill before heading home. Rugged terrain. Sturdy shoes required. Bring lunch, a beverage, a chair, and some snacks for the campfire afterward. I'll bring the firewood. No Pets.
