We'll start at the Blue Mountain Lakes parking lot where there is a bathroom. We proceed along the Blue Mtn Lake trail that connects with the AT. We then follow the AT (white) and climb Rattlesnake Mt., elevation 1,490'. There we will have lunch and enjoy the view.

After lunch, we hike back down and cross over to Woods Rd. which will connect us with the trail that descends to Buttermilk Falls. This is a very steep trail which we take down and then back up from the falls. Continuing on Woods Rd., we take that back to the other side of the Blue Mtn Lake trail. Passing Hemlock Lake and Blue Mountain Lake we head back to the parking lot with a significant water crossing. Also, we'll pass what used to be the longest beaver damn I've seen.

Bring food, water, rain gear, and poles if you use them. If you need to contact me my cell is 609-471-4119. Be aware that I don't get good reception in the parking lot so contact me early if you need to.
