Insider View – Planning a Mural Walk in Callowhill

Diane & Pat have planned a new 4 mi mural walk through the Callowhill section of Philadelphia that we plan to offer in May. If you have been on our walks and want to have an insider view of the planning process, this is your chance. There’s a lot that goes into creating these walks and we are inviting a very small group to accompany us on the “scouting phase”. After many hours researching murals and mapping a tentative path online, we walk/scout it and finesse it before posting it and running it as an Outdoor Club hike.
This will be a sort of mural scavenger hunt. We will not be describing the murals, but will be on a discovery path to see where they actually lie along our planned route. We may be retracing steps and we will do a lot of stopping and adjusting our notes. Please understand we are on a mission, so you’ll need to be flexible and keep up. Since we are limiting to 6 participants, please be firm in your intent if you sign up. Meet us at street level of the Franklin Square PATCO station in Philadelphia. We are leaving there at 10am.
