Hike the Stairway To Heaven!

Hike boardwalks, a suspension bridge, hardwood forest, fields of wildflowers, train tracks, a cow pasture, a boulder field – all along the famous Appalachian Trail. Then steeply climb the “Stairway to Heaven” to one of the best viewpoints in New Jersey YES, I will be serving my special brownie's at Heaven!.
Approximately 8 miles total. We will start at Pochuck Valley Trailhead & hike to Pinwheel Vista(Heaven). The “Stairway to Heaven” section is a series of rock slab steps steeply switch-backing up Wawayanda Mountain. We should be able to enjoy an array of Spring colors & some magnificent scenery. Not recommended for beginner hikers. Good sturdy hiking shoes and trekking poles are recommend. Bring water snacks & lunch. As always bring Tick repellent.
