Black Run - Slow to Moderate
Details
You must be a paid member of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey to participate. Go to ocsj.org to join.
We will meander about 3.7 miles in the Black Run Preserve in Evesham Township at an easy pace. We will take our time, stopping whenever we see something interesting, or if we just feel like it. Bring something to sit on to keep yourself dry.
We will start on the Blue trail, for 1.2 miles. There, we switch to the Red trail.
We take the Green cutoff to the Blue trail 1.4 miles in.
When we get to the other entrance (at about 2.2 miles in), we will switch to the Yellow trail.
At 2.7 miles in, we switch to the Red trail. Watch out! There are lots of tricky roots to trip over along here!
At 3.6 miles in, we end up at the kiosk, and then take the Blue trail back to our cars.
Parking is on Kettle Run Road at the main entrance, just south of the intersection with Braddock Mill Rd., on the left side, if you going south on Kettle Run. There is additional parking on the right side of the road, but we are meeting on the left side.
We will start the hike at 10:00 sharp.

· There are no restrooms or port-a-potties available. Well, maybe a port-a-potty. I’m not sure. Please add a comment to this event if you know.
· Ending time is approximate, depending upon how often we stop. This is a SLOW hike – a happy meander through the woods. My pace varies between slow and moderate, depending on terrain and how I am feeling. But, if you want me to slow down, do not hesitate to ask. I will be happy to oblige. Please do not ask me to speed up.

· Rain, snow, or high winds probably cancels. Check comments for weather cancellation before you leave home.
