Cattus Island Hike and Thai Lunch

Join us for a hike around Cattus Island with lunch at Thai Restaurant.
We will hike 5-6 miles on the trails of Cattus Island to a few scenic water view locations along Silver Bay, Mosquito Cove, and Barnegat Bay. The trails are sometimes over boardwalks through the marshes and we may also experience some muddy trails, depending on coastal flooding or recent rainfall. We will hike at a brisk pace, approximately 3 mph to finish the hike in 2-2.5 hours.
The environmental center should be open for restrooms but there are also porta potties available throughout the park. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, we will leave on time. Please bring water for hydration and bug spray. We will cancel by 9:00 a.m. for heavy rain or other unsafe weather conditions.
After the hike some of us are going to nearby Chang Thai Kitchen for light lunch. Chang Thai Kitchen is known for authentic, fresh, and flavorful dishes like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and various curries; all at reasonable prices. See the menu at changthainj.com.
