Directions to his estate, 58650 Nickerson Road, are below, as well as caution that a high clearance vehicle is recommended for the trek. Note, when leaving the main highway, 371, and taking Kirby road, he describes then turning left on Wellman, right on Terwilliger and right on Ramsey. These turns are the main route that the road goes, so just follow the hardtop road, as he suggests. Turning left onto "old" dirt Terwilliger is the first dirt you will encounter. Go a few miles and find Nickerson on your right. It's rough, but do-able.

Directions: Take Kirby Road south from route 371 just east of Anza. At Wellman make a left and at Terwilliger make a right continuing on hardtop. At Ramsey make a right and make the first left (dirt Terwilliger Road). Go about 2 miles down (dirt) Terwilliger Road. When you see Tule Canyon Truck Trail Road on your left you will be making the next right onto Nickerson Road. Head up Nickerson Road until you see my gate (pictured above) on the right side of the road with a couple of signs with pictures of butterflies.

You'll be rewarded with amazing views and butterfly habitat when you get there, though. Bring water, walking shoes, hat, etc.
