I recently visited the Warner Springs Community Center (next to the Eagle Rock trail-head/Pacific Crest Trail) Warner Springs Community Center | resource | 30950 Highway 79, Warner Springs, CA 92086, USA .

The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hikers are arriving so the place is hopping with great stories and international visitors. They will be around through May and the Center is a good stop-over where they can charge their phones, buy snacks, clean-up a bit and spend time learning from each other.

You can help them, too. Volunteer to spend a few hours/week or more at the Center. It's great fun!
Contact Hans Petermann, offtomexico@hotmail.com, for this great opportunity.

Also, there'll be a chance to visit and celebrate with the hikers on Saturday, April 18th, at the Annual TrailFest, too.
There will be food and craft vendors, local tribal music/dance, and general outdoor information booths.
