🎓 ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Miro is a certified Survival Instructor and Wilderness Guide. He professionally teaches land navigation to new guides at the European Wilderness Education School. He loves sharing his knowledge in a way that challenges both mind and body, ensuring you leave with confidence.

🛠 WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
We skip the heavy classroom theory and focus on maximum practice.

• Reading topographic maps & using a compass
• Establishing bearings & using a protractor
• Reading and plotting coordinates
• Planning and walking a route based on coordinates
• Survival statistics & the "Navigator's Mindset"
• Bonus: You get access to an instructional video before we meet to hit the ground running!

🏆 THE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE
After the morning session, we put your skills to the test! You’ll head out in smaller groups for a navigation challenge where you’ll use your new knowledge, creativity, and perseverance to find your way through the hills around Alella. We’ll end the day by reflecting and connecting over drinks at a local bar 🍷
(PS Alella is famous for its vineyards and for having its own DOP!)

🗺 WHY LEARN NAVIGATION?
Devices with batteries have limitations—they die, break, or lose signal! Being well-prepared is the most important survival skill. Whether you are a day-hiker, trekker, or aspiring explorer, knowing how to find your way back is indispensable. After all, getting lost is the most common cause of survival situations.

This course is suitable for both novice and experienced hikers. If you have your own compass, feel free to bring it!
