Today we visit Carlingford castle hear about king john.the royal mint and leprachawns .Then we explore St james well and kilweragh church and mysteries Historic Charm: Carlingford is steeped in history, with medieval streets, preserved buildings, and a rich heritage. Castleward and its gardens are home to the Winterfell set used in Gam e of thrones . You would need to come by car or car pool as while a train will take you to Newry there is limited access to Castle ward
Its 24 Stirling per car but its beautiful even if you never seen the series

The set is fantastic and the house tour even better but also tons of gardens which in my opionion are better than Powercoury wicklow

However this is a treat for Game of thrones fans as it covers the Winterfell and Audrey Castle used for the Twins , Meat pies anyone lol

This is the strangest stately home you are likely to come across in Ireland, one side of it is Neo-Classical in style while the other is decidedly Victorian Gothic reflecting the owner Lord Bangor and his wife, Lady Ann’s very individual tastes. By the end of the tour I wasn’t exactly sure which I preferred and possibly the original occupants weren’t either. The Western Neo-Classical side ticks all the Georgian boxes with a beautifully balanced, portland stone facade and tall elegant counter paned windows. The plasterwork in the entrance hall is detailed and interesting, including the fake piece! Apparently the craftsmen were under pressure to finish, so they dipped a tricorn hat and fiddle and mounted it on the wall, which was only discovered during restoration work a couple of years back.

We will visit the set itself and later go to the beautiful Strangford and take the ferry there and back to see the beauty and eat fresh fish in the CUAN before going home

As per many of my tours i take people on a walking tour on historic places no one else goes too .
Today we venture to Ranlagh and on the way we will stop at st Kevins park ( home of unexplained murders) .Whitefriars for you old Romantics .St Valentines ) . The cabbage patch gardens ( where William of Orange fed his troops) .The witch queen of Camden Street . The great baloon ride of Ranelagh , the jewish quarter and stella cinema .
no further details or ill spoil the suprises along the way.
