09/9/11 Moonlight Hike above La Cañada Rating: (http://www.angeles.sierraclub.org/outings/outings.asp#classifications) O (http://www.angeles.sierraclub.org/outingsDB/RatingHelp.aspx#O) Moderate to advanced paced 4 mi rt, 1200' gain on the Earl Cyn fire road on or near the full moon to enjoy the beautiful city lights, at the top water tank where the old "Leon" sign used to be. This old hike originated with dearly departed Sierra Club leader Julia Thomas many years ago. No beginners please, and no tigers. Dogs welcome when accompanied by well-mannered owners. Meet 7 pm at Palm Crest School parking lot, 5025 Palm Dr, La Cañada. Dress to layer. Bring water, lugsoles, goodies to share. Rain cancels. Leaders: Ldrs: Olivia Hernandez-Black, Cathy Kissinger
