Hike at Elm Creek Park and lunch
We will meet at the Eastman Nature Center and hike at a moderate pace, about 2-3 miles/hour. We can first do a 4 mile loop with the option of hiking another 2 mile loop if people care to. We will also be hiking with the Twin Cities Hiking Meetup. At 4,900 acres, Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest park in Three Rivers. The park features amenities for almost every outdoor activity. Elm Creek is also home to a variety of wildlife such as eagles, sandhill cranes, deer, bluebirds, beavers, loons, trumpeter swans and hawks. With over 50 miles of trails for hiking, Elm Creek is a wonderful place to explore. Multi-use turf trails are found throughout the park. The park reserve’s paved trails afford breathtaking views of woodlands, wetlands, and old farm fields. After the hike we can stop for lunch at the Maple Tavern 9375 Deerwood Ln N, Maple Grove, MN 55369 Directions to Maple Tavern From Eastman Nature Center Left outside the park Left onto Fernbrook Left onto HIghway 81 Go 2 stop lights and turn Left Maple Tavern is on the Left

What we're about

Let's have some FUN in the Great Outdoors!

Hiking, Biking, Canoeing, Golfing, Kayaking, Camping, in the Summer.

Snowboarding, Snowshoeing, Hiking, Skiing (downhill/XC), actually anything to do with being outdoors, will be a focus for our group. I mean we do live in the Upper Midwest, so getting outside all year round is important to us.

Take a look at what’s happening, find something that looks interesting, and e-mail the organizer taking the lead to find out more. The sooner you get involved, the more people you'll meet, and the more familiar and fun it begins to feel.

Don't you think you deserve some fun in your life and more people to enjoy life with?! Come and check us out. After all it's FREE to sign up and in these tough economic times that's a real plus!

Please check out the video on our "About" page. What a hoot!
