5th Annual Camping at Eagle Cliff - Lanesboro August 14th-17th

Details
Summer will happen and let’s enjoy it by camping at the group site at Eagle Cliff Campground in Lanesboro! Here is the website to the campground. https://eagle-cliff.com/camping/ This campground is kept clean and is a very nice campground.
We have reserved the group campsite for August 14-17th. The site is right next to the river and it set away from all of the other sites. The site is for tent camping but it has an electrical outlet and water close by. It is very close to a bathhouse. The site also has a tent type covering over a couple of picnic tables to help with shade or rain.
Cost:
It is $12 + tax/per day/per person. You can stay 1, 2 or 3 nights.
If you want to join us just for the day, it is $3 + tax per person/per day. This is to cover their liability in case you get hurt on their property. Money is paid directly to the campground. There are many B&B’s in Lanesboro to stay if you choose not to camp with us.
Activities,
There are many things to do in the area. Bring your own, or rent a bike to bike the Root River bike trail to neighboring towns to take in a brewery, lunch, or the sites on the trail.
There are many places to rent a kayak and kayak the beautiful Root River. The campground rents kayaks. Hot weekend? The campsite rents inner tubes for floating down the river as well.
Drive /bike to Forestville/Mystery Cave or Lake Louise State Parks in nearby Preston for hiking or cave tours.
There are many things to do, or just hang and relax with friends! There is not an expectation that everyone will want to do the same thing at the same time. There will be some group type activities if multiple people want to do the same thing.
Things to bring:
This is tent camping (but we do have access to electric to blow up air mattresses). Camping chair, personal items, sunscreen, games, books to read, other activities as you wish.
We will do a group meal or 2. So bring something to share. Food & beverages need to be kept in coolers or they may be lost to the local wildlife.
It is a group camp so you are expected to follow quiet hours for the campground so it doesn’t create issues or ruin the experience for others. By signing up, you agree to hold the event hosts harmless from injury or personal loss.
