Hike @ Battle Creek with socializing at Obb's Sports Bar

Let's hike at Battle Creek park for a good workout and beautiful sites. With the hills, you can see the skyline of St. Paul. We'll hike on various trails in Battle Creek Park for a total of about 6 miles. The pace will be about a 16:30 - 17:00 minute mile. This pace can be considered moderate to fast. It is hilly so it may be challenging. We'll meet in the west side parking lot off of Winthrop St. in front of the recreation center. The hills and terrain makes this hike an exercise pace.

Dogs are welcome. They must be on a leash and the owner must pick up after them, if necessary.

After the hike we can go to Obb's Sports Bar & Grill for a beverage/food and socializing. Obb's Sports Bar & Grill is nearby (address is 1347 Burns Ave, St. Paul, MN 55106)

Things to know for this event:
1. Decent shoes. Tennis shoes are fine. There are hills and rocks so sandals are not a good option.
2. Don't leave valuables in the car. Do not tempt anyone. We have not had issues here, but crime can happen everywhere.
3. If you are going to socialize after the hike, a dry shirt can be nice to prevent chills - even if it is warm outside.
4. The terrain has some paved trails, however, it is mostly unpaved.
5. Dogs are welcome. The owner just needs to pick up after them.

Please keep your RSVP updated. It is difficult to know if the leaders should wait for someone (in case traffic is bad) when they may not be planning to go at all. Keeping your RSVP updated is the polite thing to do, and we are Minnesota NICE :) If you are sick, please update your RSVP to not going.

By signing up & attending the hike, you agree to all personal liability and hold harmless the event hosts & leaders of the group responsible. You agree that you can keep the pace. While we do try to keep together as a group, if there is a large disparity in the pace, the majority will win out.
