Kayak the Namekagon River

Details
We're going to kayak the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway! Join me on a paddle on the Namekagon River in Wisconsin. The scenery will be abundant with fall colors plus crystal clear water, good current, and great wildlife. This section of the river is an easy paddle. If you do not have your own kayak, there may be rentals available. You will have to set that up for yourself. GPS coordinates for the landing: 45.95314, -91.89151
We'll paddle from County Rd K landing and take out at Whispering Pines Landing. The distance is 9.9 miles and will take about 3 hours. It will be a casual paddle giving us time to relax and enjoy the river. After the paddle we can stop for a late lunch or beverage if people are interested.
Things to know for the paddle:
1. Life jackets are required. It is up to you if you want to wear one, but you must have one with or you will not be allowed to paddle.
2. The water will be cool. Plan accordingly.
3. It is fall so check the temperature and bring a sweatshirt or jacket if you need.
4. Bring water, soda or other beverages and snacks as desired.
5. Bring dry clothes to change into after the paddle.
We will meet at County Rd K landing and shuttle the cars to the take out, then head back to start the paddle.
By signing up for the event, you acknowledge that paddling can have risks of tipping over into the water, catching a tree branch, scraping rocks with your kakak. You agree to take personal responsibility and hold the event host harmless for any issues.
It will be a great day on the river! Hope to see you there!
