Hike at Hyland Nature Center followed by socializing at Wooden Hill Brewing
Details
Let's enjoy a hike at Hyland Nature Center which offers a scenic retreat in the heart of Bloomington. We will hike 5.5 - 6 miles on paved and unpaved trails, including hills The speed will be about 17ish minute miles depending upon snow/ice on the trails. Leashed Dogs are welcome. You must pick up after your dog! After the hike we can enjoy a beverage at Wooden Hill Brewing Company located at 7421 Bush Lake Road in Edina which is just a short distance from the park. This brewery offers food, so if you bring your pup, they unfortunately cannot join us inside.
Things to know for the hike:
1. It will be dark for most of the hike, so a headlamp in necessary.
2. Grippers will be necessary for unpaved trails in the shade. Best to bring them with. We can stop to take them off if necessary.
3. Bring water as you feel necessary.
4. A change of shirts helps to prevent chills after the hike during socializing.
5. It will be muddy. Plan accordingly.
Please keep your RSVP up to date. No shows are frustrating and may possibly prevent someone from attending the event. Future events may be limited for no shows. If you are running late, please post a comment so I know whether to wait, or start the hike.
See you on the trail!!
