Proud Mary is Sad Mary as she's cancelled + other news

From: Sue

Hi All,
Well as the email subject indicates today's Proud Mary Hike is canceled. For this hike we really needed dry land for safety and to be able to see the trail in certain sections. So, and depending on next weekends weather, we'll try to reschedule.
Oh well, many of us do love to play in the snow so today could be fun. If we get another 5 inches we could all go snowshoeing. Blaze our own trail somewhere!
I also decided to send some other info in one email. There are a lot of new things on the calendars and below are just a few of the added events. There are many more so please check the calendars often. To reduce the amount of emails that go out new events will not have an initial announcement, unless the event is happening within a week. So just click on the links below.
The week before and day before reminders will still come out, but some (and not many, as we don't believe in it) have RSVP limits so checking the calendars often will ensure people can get in on those types of events.
1. For the Columbia sponsorship I'm required to send out all newsletters they send me so it's at the bottom of the email and they are running a really cool picture contest. I think Louie should send in the picture of him at the picnic table with the snowman.
2. I've got all the information on the site for the Giants Ridge weekend at the end of January. Click HERE for that link.
3. Another chance to work off some of that Thanksgiving turkey. Ice skating! Click HERE for that link.
6. Don't forget the sponsorship and the 30% on merchandise for OdeeWorld ends 12/2. There is free shipping for any order over $49. So if anyone wants to order anything let me know, as I'll be putting an order in and I'm one item shy of getting the free shipping. The code to get the discount is OSL330, and just use it at checkout.
Skifully yours,

Subject: November Newsletter from Outdoor & Snow Lovers's Sponsor Columbia Sportswear

Columbia Sportswear's Ice Pics Contest

Columbia Sportswear

As a member of one of Columbia's sponsored Meetups, and as a fellow outdoor enthusiast, you're probably aware that enjoying cold weather is as much about having the right attitude as it is about having the right gear. The folks at Columbia are proud to say they have both. That's why they're very excited to share the news about their new Ice Pics contest, currently running on the Columbia Facebook page.
Columbia Sportswear
Show us the coolest pics of you and your friends enjoying the cold for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Columbia Sportswear. And it gets even better! If you're a member of Columbia's Greater Rewards Program, you're automatically qualified to win a $100 gift card. If you're not a member, there's still time to join, and it's free. So share your coldest snapshots, and if they're cool enough, you could win big.
As an added incentive to participate, when Columbia reaches their goal of 100 submissions for November, they will make a donation of $5,000 to Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness - a group that is dedicated to preserving the ecosystem of the boundary waters wilderness area in northern Minnesota.

If you have any questions about this sponsorship, simply reply to this email and let us know.
