Canoe/Kayak MPLS Chain of Lakes on Friday

There are at least 10 people on the waiting list for this event. If any of you have your own canoe/kayak you just need to show up.

I have requested 8-9 canoes and 4-5 single kayaks. The number of kayaks was based on those who indicated they wanted a kayak.

The parking is all around Lake Calhoun. Some is free and some is paid in the parking lots. Please bring the correct amount of cash to pay and remember the $5 deposit is not applied toward the rental cost. The $5 deposit will be refunded once I know you've shown up. Later that day I'll go into the system and refund everyone who has shown up.

I'm waiting for a final cost per person from "John" the contact at Wheel of Fun.  Because we have enough people to get a discount of about 20% the cost should be less than the $19 per hour. It should take us about 2 hours, depending on how fast or slow we paddle, to complete all 4 lakes. So I guess I'd plan on bringing at least $19 for the canoe rental, as it'll be shared; and at least $36 for the kayak rental.

Here is my phone number[masked] and I'll be waiting at the rental area with a piece of paper in my hand checking people off as they arrive and collecting the money. I'll make sure that I have plenty of change, but please try to bring some of your own.

After we're done paddling and for those interested, I plan on sitting down at the "Tin Fish" for a bite to eat and some beverage.
