What we're about

What's the purpose of the group? \

Rollerbladers to meet other rollerbladers, and go for a skate together, rather than solo. And for like-minded individuals to meet doing at event activities they both enjoy. \

Some events will be canceled due to weather or other reasons prior to or during the event. I will provide weather and/or cancellation updates the best I can, in the specific event's details section, and on the GroupMe Outdoor Activities Meetup Group, but I also recommend you check the weather. I have created a GroupMe, where all members can join (after you download the GroupMe app, and create an account), and communicate with one another, and with me (everyone will be able to see your message unless you send a direct message). It is my understanding your phone number will not be displayed, while your account name and your message will be. A link to the GroupMe will be sent out to members via email. We are all adults, and I expect that we act as such. Please be cordial and treat others as you would want to be treated. If I deem someone is misbehaving at an event or in the GroupMe Outdoor Activities Group, action may be taken. If you are a member and did not receive the GroupMe link, message me by clicking "Message" under my name as the Organizer on this meetup's page, and I will share it with you. \

I, at times, will research new fun activities we can do and will send out a survey via email for all to fill out on which activity is preferred. An event will be created announcing that the survey has been emailed. If you did not get the email let me know. If you have any suggestions or ideas as to places to go rollerblading or activities to try, please message me them. Thanks!!!
Currently, this group is not anticipated to offer classes/ instruction on how to rollerblade, however, if you are interested in such, reach out.
Who should join?
Anyone who wants to rollerblade with others. This group is for all skillsets, however, depending on conditions, there will be an expected moderate pace, equivalent to a range of a casual jog to HIT running.
Those that are still working on their confidence and abilities that are unable to keep up are encouraged to come for you may meet others of a similar skill set that will likely join up with you.
What will you do at your events? (Please also read the LEGAL DISCLAIMER & WAIVER OF LIABILITY section.)
Rollerblade duh :). And any other posted fun activity. \

RSVP for any events you plan on attending, so I can determine if all are present at the meeting location before we begin.
Please check the event Description and How to Find Us sections, before you leave to head to the meeting location, I will underline any new information so that it is easy to notice any new developments from the time of the posting.
Prior to the meetup event, a map of the rollerblading trail will be provided (if available), a meeting point will be set, as well as the location where we expect to take a break and finish. All will show up on time, put on their gear, and go for a ride, after the break and finishing location(s) are re-affirmed. You will be paired with a buddy two times, and after an agreed upon time we can switch buddies, after the expiration of the second buddy interaction, it will be permitted to buddy up with someone of your choosing, assuming we have even numbers.
If you incur any unexpected delays, and fail to provide timely notice of the delay and the expected time of arrival over the phone to the organizer or a member who voices the delay to the organizer before the group starts, within 5 minutes after the scheduled time then we shall begin without you, unless the organizer agrees to wait, and the group as a whole all agree to wait. If the event has started, you can catch up with us at the break point or finish point. We expect to do laps (depending on the trail), so we will likely notice you, mention you are part of the group and someone may be kind enough to help out.
While we hope no accidents occur, accidents do happen. Rollerblading or any other event you participate in can be inherently dangerous.
