2025 LeConte Lodge Adventure

The meetup fee covers the Leconte Lodge portion of the trip only, all other reservations/permits are up to you to obtain (although we can assist you in obtaining them). FYI also need a permit to park and stay at park shelters in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The solid days right now which are already reserved are: arrive at Mt. LeConte, May 15; depart from Mt. LeConte, May 17.
This event is geared to experienced backpackers as there will be significant elevation gained on this route.

Note: Price shown is based on 2 attendees, cost will be shared equally between attendees, so if more sign up, you will be refunded the difference. There is an additional $15 per person, for those who want bottomless wine at the lodge.
- Day 1 - (Monday, May 12th) Leave Memphis around 7am; camp at Mammoth Cave National Park Cave — tour(s) as time permits.
- Day 2 - (Tuesday, May 13th) Head to Fall Creek Falls State Park; camp at Fall Creek Falls Campground — hike(s) as time permits.
- Day 3 - (Wednesday, May 14th) lunch Smoky Mtn Brewery; hike from Newfound Gap to Icewater Springs Shelter (spend night) — approx. mileage 3.8
- Day 4 - (Thursday, May 15th) Hike from the Icewater Springs Shelter to Mount LeConte Lodge (spend night here) via the Boulevard Trail — approx mileage 5.4
- Day 5 - (Friday, May 16th) "Hike your own hike day", popular spots are Myrtle Point for sunrise — approx mileage .75 each direction; Cliff Tops — steep .25 mile hike each way. Rest enjoy various games; lunch provided
- Day 6 - (Saturday, May 17th) Hike from LeConte Lodge back to vehicle(s) parked at Newfound Gap — approximate mileage 8.1. Spend night at Cades Cove Campground
- Day 7 - (Sunday, May 18th) drive back Sunday late morning to Memphis
