Arkansas Scenic Waterfall Loop

4th of July weekend is coming up, and most sensible people probably already have plans, but my weekend just got freed up, and if you'd like to join me, please come along!

It's been awhile since we've done a waterfalls tour, and I thought we'd take a scenic waterfall road trip through the Ozark National Forest, featuring 13 WATERFALLS!

I don't have all the details mapped out yet, but I'm following THIS article as a guide. The route loops around Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area and hits must-sees like Kings Bluff and Long Pool as well as some two-for-one waterfalls. The tour takes less than five hours without hiking time (though most of these falls can be seen practically from the parking lot, so this should be fun, even for those with leg/foot issues). The route has 9 distinct stops, but some of these include one or two extra waterfalls to see in the area, making it a 13-stop waterfall tour, traveling clockwise around the map.

12. Big Creek Cave Falls (and Alum Cove Natural Bridge)
13. Kings Bluff Falls (and Pedestal Rocks)

I'm planning this for the whole holiday weekend, so we take our leisurely time, swim if we want to, get some good food (or course), and sightsee. For those who DON'T want to spend the whole weekend, you are welcome to move at your own pace, and even just make it a day-trip.
