Hike Natchez Trace State Park
Details
Lets Meetup at Natchez Trace State Park for a day of hiking! NTSP is about 1.5 hours northeast of Memphis, right on I-40.
Hike distance: approx. 6 miles (with options for shorter distance)
Difficulty: State parks rates hike as easy/moderate. A bit more hills than what we see in Memphis.
- 10:00 AM meet and park cars at the visitor center
- Hike the RED LEAVES TRAIL down to the CUB LAKE TRAIL 1.7 miles
- Hike CUB LAKE TRAIL around Cub Lake 2.7 mikes
- Hike RED LEAVES TRAIL back to visitor center 1.7 miles
- Folks could do just the CUB LAKE TRAIL portion for a shorter hike is wanted
PETS WELCOME !
Bring some water and maybe a snack, we'll stop several times for rest and re-fuel as needed. When all done, we may group up for lunch on the way back to Memphis.

To Get there, head east on I-40, to exit 116. Take highway 114 south about 1 mile to The Park Visitor Center. Depending on where you start from the Memphis area, travel time to the park is about 1.5 hours.
If folks want to carpool, we can set that up in the discussion below. I suggest carpooling from the Kroger in Arlington.
