Friday - travel up and secure lodging or campsite, meetup at White Buffalo to get specifics on Saturdays float plan. They have tent camping, RV sites, and cabins, and also rent kayaks/canoes and offer shuttle service.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own kayak/canoe rentals and shuttles. We may have enough folks/vehicles to shuttle ourselves, we can discuss below. Paid shuttle costs are low though.

I have a tent site with water/electric reserved, directly on the river. If anyone wants to share let me know max 6 people.

Other great cabins and kayak rentals/shuttle can be found at Riley's just 1/2 mile away. (NO tents or RV's at Riley's).

There are also plenty of hotels/motels and air B'n'B options in Mountain Home.

Saturday 10:00AM: Float the White River 8 miles. We'll put in upstream at Cotter or Rim Shoals access, and float back to White Buffalo Resort. Depending on water levels, normally takes 4-5 hours. We'll stop about 1/2 way and have lunch on the river so bring along food and drink on the float. Its an easy float, water is crystal clear (and cold), great scenery.

Saturday night: we will group up either at the White Buffalo campsites for cookout/campfire, or maybe a restaurant in Mountain Home for a social evening. Lets discuss below on what the group wants to do.

Sunday morning 8-9 AM: Optional could do same float as Saturday, or go downstream from Buffalo City a shorter float say 5 miles. That would wrap us up mid afternoon for those who need to get back to Memphis earlier Sunday.
