Weather permitting, join me if you can for a lakeside hike at Sand Creek Park in Athens, 400 Bob Holman Rd. Trail is approx 7.5 miles, natural surface, rated easy to moderate. Break when/if needed.
Meet at the boat ramp off Beechtree, parking lot #12, left at stop sign after main entrance, then left on Beechtree, 10:30a start time, end time is a guesstimate. Hiking poles welcome.
My hiking style is small group, slow/steady (approx 2-2.5 mph), break if needed, and we start, hike & finish together. Please leave your furry 4-legged loved ones at home.
Parking Fee, $2/person (free if you're over 64yo); restrooms avail.
